Mit iOS 5 könnten auch automatische App-Updates kommen

Wenn eine App auf dem iPhone vom Entwickler aktualisiert wurde, dann bekommt man als Anwender davon nur dann etwas mit, wenn man den App Store auf dem iPhone startet oder das Gerät mit iTunes synct.

Mit iOS 5 wird das (vermutlich) anders. Denn durch eine kleine Panne bekam man beim Update der Apps via iTunes folgenden Hinweis zu lesen:

"If your device has Automatic Download enabled for apps, your updates will download to your device without having to sync."

Ein Feature "Automatic Download" existiert in iOS allerdings nicht. Man muss wohl sagen: Noch nicht.

Unklar bleibt allerdings, wie Apple dieses Feature umsetzen wird. Denn so erfreulich ein automatisches App-Update auch wäre - bei Apps, die mehrere hundert MB groß sind, könnte das auch eher zu einer Belästigung als zu einer Bereicherung werden.
